Wineries


Danzinger Vineyards 


Location: Alma

Hours: Vary depending on the season


Sitting atop the Alma Bluffs with beautiful views of the Mississippi River and the town of Alma,
Danzinger Vineyards is one of Wisconsin’s top estate wineries. Taking up 18 acres, it cultivates a dozen grape varietals. These include cold-climate grapes like Frontenac, Marquette, and La Crescent as well as fruit-infused wines — all grown, crafted, and bottled onsite. 


The winery also provides live music on Saturday nights and has a dog-friendly outdoor area. As one of only a few Estate Wineries in the state, Danzinger truly stands out. Whether you’re sipping a glass on their scenic patio or relaxing in the cozy tasting room, you can’t help but enjoy the laid-back Wisconsin charm. 


Seven Hawks Vineyards


Location: Fountain City

Hours: Vary depending on the day of the week - Closed Monday and Tuesday.


Seven Hawks Vineyards
sits on the steep bluff lands just north of Fountain City. Offering one of the grandest vineyard experiences in the Upper Midwest, this is a must-see destination. The vineyard is home to nearly 18,000 northern-hybrid grape vines that wind across hills overlooking the Mississippi River valley. 


The vineyard’s tasting room is housed in a restored 1870s building in historic Fountain City. It offers visitors a cozy and inviting atmosphere where wine sampling is offered free of charge.

Pubs and Taverns


White Pig Tavern


Location: Mondovi

Hours: Vary depending on the day of the week


The
White Pig Tavern is a popular local hangout in Mondovi, WI. Known for its lively atmosphere, welcoming bartenders, and amazing drinks, the tavern is a great place to unwind with friends. Be sure to sample their selection of ice-cold beers, top-rated Bloody Marys, and creative cocktails. 


Brad’s Roadhouse Bar & Grill


Location: Fountain City

Hours: Vary depending on the day of the week - Closed Monday and Tuesday


Brad’s Roadhouse Bar & Grill
is a favorite in Fountain City and the surrounding areas. Serving up steaks, ribs, and all the delicious sides, this is one place you’ll definitely want to visit. Drinks include Bloody Marys, Mimosas, beers, and other mixed drinks, all served at an outdoor covered bar. With amazing food, drinks, and a laid-back atmosphere, Brad’s is a great place to visit. 


NorthEnd Pub & Grill


Location: Cochrane

Hours: Mon Closed, Tue-Thur 11 AM - 9 PM, Fri-Sat 11 AM- 10 PM, Sun 11 AM - 9 PM


With cold Wisconsin beers on tap, a full menu, and 6 big-screen TVs, the
NorthEnd Pub & Grill is a must-visit hangout in Cochrane, WI. Serving everything from appetizers and pizza to burgers and entrees, this restaurant has something everyone will love. A relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff make this the perfect place to catch a game or tell stories with friends.

The Legendary Monarch Public House

The Legendary Monarch Public House
in Fountain City is a beautiful historic tavern and Irish-inspired pub. It has been serving guests since 1894, making it one of the oldest continuously operating taverns in the state. The menu features both Irish and American favorites, all paired with craft brews, cocktails, and local beers.

Location: Alma

Hours: Sun-Thur 11 AM - 2 AM, Fri-Sat 11 AM - 2:30 AM

in Alma is known for its friendly, laid-back atmosphere and hearty pub fare. The interior is famous for its impressive collection of record-setting whitetail deer mounts, creating a fun and unique environment. Excellent cocktails, cold beers on tap, and friendly bartenders make this a favorite of locals and visitors alike.
